We are proud to announce that Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has commenced oil production from its operated and recently-discovered exploratory well Dhok Sultan-3, Dhok Sultan Block, since November 1, 2025 under appraisal/ Extended Well Testing.
The oil is processed through the company’s operated Dhok Sultan Oil Handling Facility whereas the gas is transported at Meyal Gas Processing Facility. The oil is sold to Attock Refinery Limited and gas to Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited. This arrangement has provided the potential to ramp up production up to 1,400 bbl/d oil, 2.5 MMscfd gas and 15 tonnes/d LPG.
Dhok Sultan Block, located in District Attock, Punjab, is a joint venture operated by PPL with 75 percent working interest (WI) along with Government Holdings (Private) Limited with the remaining 25 percent WI.
PPL remains committed to enhance its hydrocarbon production in a cost-effective manner to ensure long-term energy security for the country. The production commencement from Dhok Sultan -3 will contribute positively towards reducing the energy supply and demand gap with significant foreign exchange saving through indigenous hydrocarbons production.
